Virgin Atlantic is going head-to-head with arch-rival British Airways as well as Kenya Airways by launching daily services between Heathrow and Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, from next month. The service begins on 1 June operated by an Airbus A340-300 aircraft with 240 seats onboard--34 in Upper Class, 35 Premium Economy and 171 Economy.
Nairobi is Virgin Atlantic's fourth destination in Africa, and the airline has plans to add Mauritius from next year.
