THE PROBLEM STARTS with Carrie Underwood or Akon or Fall Out Boy .

They're all fine artists. Lots of people like 'em. Just not me. And that's OK.

But I'm worried the feds are going to force me to give up Cat Power for Carrie Underwood , swap out The Roots for Akon and ask me to get my brooding, whiny guitar melodies from Fall Out Boy rather than Bright Eyes .
