FORMER Fianna Fail government press secretary Frank Dunlop is set to be charged with criminal corruption next week.
If convicted, the former lobbyist faces up to seven years in jail in a move that could prove extremely embarrassing for a Fianna Fail party already under pressure.
The charges are believed to relate to Mr Dunlops admission to the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) that he bribed councillors in return for their support for a 1993 motion to rezone lands at Carrickmines in South Dublin.
