Florida Inventor Develops Infusion Odor Capturing Steam Dehydration Toilet

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 17 -- Steven Lumbert of Cape Canaveral, Fla., has developed a self-contained dehydration toilet.

According to the abstract released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A self-contained dehydration toilet having an odor-capturing steam and water recovery system. The dehydration toilet comprises a toilet bowl, a dehydration engine connected to the toilet bowl, a steam, gas and vapor conduit from the dehydrating engine, a water supply infusion tank which receives steam, gases and vapor from the dehydration engine to the infusion water tank, an ozone generator which ...

(Newser) – No positive identification of Caylee Anthony’s body could be made from DNA analysis of evidence gathered from her mother’s car trunk, the Orlando Sentinel reports today. However, investigators found “an unusually large concentration of chloroform.” Odor analysis yielded hints of a “decompositional event that could be a human origin.” Hairs found in the trunk could belong to Caylee or her mother, Casey.

(Newser) - DNA tests performed by the FBI have confirmed that the bones found near the home of Caylee Anthony’s grandparents are the remains of the missing toddler, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Caylee’s mother Casey Anthony, who is charged with her murder, has been informed in jail. Authorities still don’t know precisely how Caylee died and are listing her homicide as “by indeterminate means,” a police spokesman said. More »
