THE "pregnant man" who gave birth to a daughter earlier this year is expecting a second child.

Thomas Beatie, a married man who used to be a woman, said he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after the birth of Susan on June 29 so he could have another baby.

"I feel good," he told ABC News's Barbara Walters.

"I had my checkups ... And everything is right on track."

Mr Beatie, who lives with his wife, Nancy, in Bend, Oregon, said the baby is due on June 12.

(Newser) – “Pregnant Man” Thomas Beatie this week shows off his gender-bending miracle, Susan Juliette, in People magazine, which Gawker reports forked over $300,000 for the first pix. Since Beatie had his breasts removed, wife Nancy drew breast-feeding duty via hormonally induced lactation, they tell People.

The transgendered former beauty-pageant contestant came through a 40-hour labor undaunted: "When Susan finally came out, it was like in slow motion. I was full of wonder," says Beatie. And there might be something to letting the guys in on the action: "I weigh two pounds less than I did before I got pregnant," he crows. "And I don't have a single stretch mark!"
