City MP welcomes new laws on vice; SEX TRADE: Politician calls for total ban on use of prostitutes.(News)

A CITY MP has welcomed new laws threatening men who pay to have sex with prostitutes with a hefty fine.

But Gisela Stuart (Lab, Edgbaston) also urged the Government to go even further and simply make using the services of a prostitute illegal.

Residents in her constituency have led long-running campaigns against prostitution and kerb crawling in areas such as Balsall Heath and Rotten Park Road, off Hagley Road.

'Charlotte' Says That's Not Her in Racy Tape

(Newser) – That's not Charlotte, is it? A series of explicit video stills has surfaced on the Internet purporting to show Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis—who played goody two-shoes Charlotte—in some private poses with an old boyfriend. Davis adamantly denies it, but the New York Post's PageSix says it's her.

The gossip column says the photos were taken by one of Davis' boyfriends from the early '90s, who, in a moment of anger, sold the pics to a third party, after which they were stolen. No way, says her rep: "This is not a photo of Kristin Davis. There is no sex tape." Fans who prefer less scandalous images can wait for Sex and the City: the Movie, which arrives in theaters May 30.
