Billionaire investor Kirk Kerkorian's $4.5 billion offer for Chrysler comes to about half of what Chrysler is worth in a leveraged buyout, according to an analysis by the Morgan Stanley investment bank in London.
Adam Jonas, lead DaimlerChrysler analyst for Morgan Stanley, estimates Chrysler is worth $8.7 billion to $14.7 billion, depending on how the group is sold. And he has been one of the few analysts to evaluate publicly some of Chrysler's parts.
