NBCU's Telemundo put L.A. anchor Mirthala Salinas on a leave of absence following the disclosure of her affair with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Manuel Abud, gm of Telemundo's L.A. station KVEA, said the station would conduct its internal investigation "with the utmost respect to personal privacy and journalistic standards."
