One African-American Miss USA recently relinquished her crown to another African-American beauty during the 57th Annual Miss USA Pageant.

Chrystle Stewart, the 26-year-old Miss Texas, beat out 50 other beauty queens for the title to become Miss USA 2008. Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith crowned her successor during a pageant televised live from Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
