It's not the first time something like this has happened, but it's never happened quite like this.

When the apocalyptic CBS drama "Jericho" was canceled in May, die-hard fans of the show were so outraged, they took a rallying call from one of the characters literally. In the finale, Jake (Skeet Ulrich) responded to a threat by saying "Nuts!", a nod to an incident in World War II when General MacAuliffe was asked to surrender at the battle of the Bulge.
