(Newser) – As Hillary Clinton's chances of winning the Democratic nomination wane, Barack Obama's camp is readying a consolation prize for the loser-apparent, the Daily Telegraph reports. In a "negotiated surrender," Clinton will likely be offered a cabinet post or the chance to lead a Senate charge on health care, an issue near and dear to her heart for more than a decade.

Obama is gearing up to bring other Democratic rivals to the White House with him, with John Edwards seen as a likely attorney general and Joe Biden as secretary of state. But Clinton hasn't given up "in her own mind yet, and until she does it's very difficult to have these conversations," said one of her aides. Clinton still "doesn't really know what she wants," said one official.
