If there's one person who truly appreciates the gift of organ donation, it's medical student Allison John. For in the past 12 years Allison has received three massive life-saving transplants, undergoing surgery that has replaced her liver, heart, lungs and kidneys.

In turn, Allison has donated her own heart to a man in Kent, giving the ex-serviceman in his '60s a new lease of life.
