Apr. 7--CLAREMORE -- Wild about horses, 9-year-old Emily Reed said she wanted a mustang. The Beggs third-grader realized her wish Friday, paying $140 for a 4-year-old black gelding at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's wild horse and burro adoption at the Claremore Expo Center. "He had a stout body, and he was strong-boned," said Emily, justifying a bid made through her mother, Jeana Reed.
