MORE people are seeking help for gambling addictions thanks to a surge in online gambling.
As many as one-in-five of the people presenting themselves for treatment at Dublin's Rutland Centre in the last two years had a problem with gambling, according to senior addiction counsellor Gerry Cooney.
He said that the latest figure is a doubling of the trend that existed before the availability of casino and online internet gambling sites.
