This is the view of British freelance journalist Stephen Bevan, who was arrested in Zimbabwe for allegedly trying to cover the elections without accreditation.

Bevan, the Sunday Telegraph's southern African freelance contributor, and Barry Bearack, the New York Times' southern African correspondent, were arrested at their hotel near Harare over three weeks ago.
