A COUPLE at the centre of a pounds 4.4million "date rape" drug case have escaped prosecution because of a legal loophole.

And last night, furious MSPs urged Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill to take urgent action to change the law.

Israeli citizen Hanan Rabin, 55, and Denise Macpherson, 47, were charged after raids on a drugs factory in Livingston, West Lothian, two years ago.
