A Canadian teenager who was said to have clashed with her father
about whether she should wear a traditional Muslim head scarf died
of injuries late Monday. According to police, her father said he
had killed her.
Aqsa Parvez, 16, was found without a pulse in her home in a
Toronto suburb earlier Monday. She was resuscitated and treated at
two hospitals, but she later succumbed to her injuries, police said
Tuesday. Her father, Muhammad Parvez, 57, has been charged with
murder.
