A hearse carrying the coffin of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown, has arrived at a church in suburban Atlanta ahead of a funeral service.

The hearse was escorted by two policemen on motorcycles into the parking lot of St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta.

Four men dressed in black suits carried the coffin into the church. Media reports say friends and family are to gather at the church later Saturday to remember the 22-year-old woman.

A police officer stopped vehicles arriving at the church before they were allowed into the parking lot.

Bobbi Kristina died in hospice care July 26, about six months after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at home.
