JERUSALEM (AP) — Palestinian hospital officials say three Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, which has become increasingly restive because of a war between Israel and Hamas militants next door in the Gaza Strip.

Mazen al-Hammouz, director of Rafidiyeh Hospital in the city of Nablus, says two men, ages 21 and 22, were shot and killed in the northern village of Hawara on Friday. The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately clear.

The emergency room at Hebron hospital in the southern West Bank says a 47-year-old was shot and killed in the nearby village of Beit Omar. Witnesses say Israeli troops had clashed with Palestinian protesters in the village.

The Israeli military and police said they are looking into the report.
