PALESTINE, Texas (AP) — The Latest on Texas flooding (all times local):

8:30 p.m.

Authorities have found a sixth body following flash flooding in East Texas that also killed a woman and her four great-grandchildren.

The latest victim was identified as 30-year-old Giovani Olivas of Palestine, Texas, who was swept under flood waters.

Palestine police say all six bodies have been taken to Tyler for autopsies, which will be completed on Monday.

More than 7 inches of rain fell in less than an hour late Friday evening, swamping a neighborhood and forcing some people onto their roofs.

Authorities have identified five people who died when they were swept away by floodwaters in an East Texas neighborhood. One person remains missing.

The deceased were identified as 64-year-old Lenda Asberry and her grandchildren 6-year-old Jamonicka Johnson; 7-year-old Von Anthony Johnson Jr.; 8-year-old Devonte Asberry and 9-year-old Venetia Asberry. Police say they'd attempted to flee the rising waters.

One of the bodies was spotted by a neighbor who had climbed to her rooftop to await rescue.

The bodies have been taken to Tyler, Texas, for autopsies. More than 7 inches of rain was reported in less than an hour at the city of Palestine's water treatment plant/

A task force has been assembled to search for a person who went missing in rural Anderson County.

Red Cross spokeswoman Anita Foster says between 20 and 30 residents of Palestine were displaced by the floods.

11:00 a.m.

Several residents of an East Texas neighborhood climbed to their rooftops to escape high water after a creek flooded its banks.

Around 3:45 a.m., the Palestine Police Department received reports about a missing family from the area and sent officers to search the houses in waist-deep water.

The Palestine Herald-Press reports (http://bit.ly/1QHo5Cn ) that Merta White was waiting to be rescued from the roof of her house when she saw a bump in the water.

She told the newspaper: "I thought it was a mailbox, but then I realized what it really was, and I started screaming."

The bodies of two children were found in the front yard of a residence near the street. A continued search found the bodies of an adult female and two more children.

The victims included a 64-year-old grandmother and her four grandchildren, aged 6, 7, 8 and 9.

A police captain says a 64-year-old woman and four grandchildren have been killed after a creek flooded its banks in an East Texas neighborhood.

Capt. James Muniz of the Palestine Police Department tells The Associated Press that six to 10 homes in a Palestine cul-de-sac were severely damaged following heavy rainfall early Saturday.

The five bodies were found near one of the homes before dawn after the floodwaters had receded.

Muniz said the city's fire department found the bodies. The children were all 9 years old or younger. All other residents of the neighborhood were accounted for.

City officials used a dump truck to rescue one man from the roof of a home.
