NEW YORK (AP) — The New York City mayor's office says one of the two bodies recovered after a building collapse has been officially identified.

Mayor Bill de Blasio's office said Monday that the victim has been identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Figueroa. The bowling alley worker was on a date at a restaurant Thursday when the explosion and fire leveled three buildings.

DNA testing will be done to identify the second body that was recovered Sunday. Restaurant worker Moises Lucon was reported missing after the blast.

De Blasio has said someone may have improperly tapped a gas line before the explosion.

However, no official cause has been declared. Investigators have not yet reached the basement level.
