Calvert, Dano lead Blue Jackets past Hurricanes

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Matt Calvert had two goals and an assist and rookie Marko Dano also scored twice in the third period in the Columbus Blue Jackets' 6-3 exhibition victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

Michael Chaput and Artem Anisimov added goals for the Blue Jackets (6-1-0) and Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves.

Rookie Victor Rask had two goals and an assist for Carolina (1-4-1), and Michal Jordan had a goal and an assist. Anton Khudobin stopped 26 shots.

Blue Jackets second-year forward Boone Jenner had surgery Wednesday to repair a broken left hand that could sideline him five weeks. He was injured Sunday in practice.
