Friends and neighbors have started a search for an Ohio mother her two children and a friend who disappeared earlier in the week.

Authorities also have been searching for 32-year-old Tina Herrmann, her 13-year-old daughter, her 10-year-old son and the 41-year-old friend. Herrmann was reported missing on Wednesday.

Knox County Sheriff David Barber has said blood from an apparently injured person was found in Herrmann's home in Howard, about 60 miles northeast of Columbus. He said Friday that authorities consider the case a missing-persons report. A message seeking updated information was left for Barber on Saturday.

WBNS-TV in Columbus reports that a friend has created a Facebook page in an effort to help find the missing. Hundreds of people have joined the page, which has been filled with photos and prayers.
