Police in Sweden are searching for a man who stabbed a 10-year-old girl in the neck outside a school in the southwestern city of Goteborg.

They say the girl was seriously wounded in the attack Monday and was brought to hospital with the knife still stuck in her neck.

The attacker is still at large and is reported to be a man in his 20s.

A large number of police are searching the area.
