The Golden Globe nominations for best television comedy series have been announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The nominees announced Thursday morning are "The Big Bang Theory," `'Episodes," `'Girls," `'Modern Family" and "Smash."

The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented Jan. 13, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
