The California attorney general's office has charged former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner with felony false imprisonment and two misdemeanor counts of battery.

The charges filed Tuesday come just months after allegations of sexual harassment drove the mayor of one of the America's biggest cities to resign.

The criminal case names three Jane Does as victims.
