IRVING, Texas (AP) — Cowboys coach Jason Garrett says C.J. Spillman remains part of the team while under investigation in an alleged sexual assault early Sept. 20 at a hotel in suburban Dallas.

Spillman was on the practice field Thursday. He has played in all four games this season.

The NFL has offered to interview the alleged victim "on a confidential and appropriate basis to obtain more information." League spokesman Greg Aiello says the NFL has been "looking into the matter and will continue to do so."

Garrett says the Cowboys would re-evaluate Spillman's status if he is charged. The 28-year-old Spillman's attorney and agent have declined comment.
