NEW YORK (AP) — Ike Barinholtz is the latest funny person with a book deal.

Grand Central Publishing announced Monday that it had acquired a collection of humorous essays by the writer-performer whose credits include "The Mindy Project" and "MADtv." The book, currently untitled, is scheduled for fall 2017. In a statement issued through Grand Central, Barinholtz promised "piping hot takes" on everything from sex to pizza.

Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling and Tina Fey are among the comedians to have best-sellers in recent years. Barinholtz is starring with Poehler and Fey in the film comedy "Sisters," which comes out in December.
