ST. LOUIS | Eight St. Louis-area men have pleaded guilty to federal charges of selling stolen goods and funneling part of their profits to the Palestinian territories. Acting U.S. Attorney Michael Reap said the men bought stolen goods at low prices and then sold them for a large profit at five convenience stores. The amount of money they made, and how much they sent to Palestine, was not released. More »

Kansas City’s 3-1-1 Action Center will adjust its hours next month to try to decrease hold times and better serve customers during peak hours. Beginning Dec. 7, the city’s 3-1-1 hot line will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. The current hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. More »

Executive Beechcraft and its parent company have sued Kansas City and James Stowers III, who is creating a multimillion-dollar terminal and aviation project at Wheeler Downtown Airport. The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court, alleges that the city failed to disclose that it was negotiating with Stowers to put in a competing terminal and aviation facility at the airport.
