Singer Kid Rock raised the rafters at a sold-out concert to promote his latest CD in Atlanta and then was busted when he and his posse beat up a customer in a waffle house who was chatting up a woman in Rock's party, according to  police. He and his five cronies were charged with simple battery, a misdemeanor.

Rock, 36, was released yesterday after posting $1,000 bond. The victim in the fight, who broke a window, was charged with a felony for property damage. Rock is currently on tour promoting "Rock N Roll Jesus," the first of his albums to top the charts in his 17-year career. He describes it as a blend of country, rap and southern rock "hick-Hop."
