A health group with a beef against McDonald's is taking its complaint to TV. A new ad by the nonprofit Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine features a chubby dead man in a morgue still gripping a half-eaten burger, and implies McDonald's is to blame. The words "I was lovin' it" over golden arches ends the ad, an obvious play on McDonald's slogan "I'm lovin' it." McDonald's was picked as a target because it "epitomizes fast food and the permeation of fast food in the country," said a spokeswoman for the organization that promotes vegetarianism. The ad is set to first run in DC, notes Gawker. There was no immediate comment from Mickey D's. (To read about a nutrition professor's junk food diet, along with other diet news, click here.)
