Whoops! Pageant director omitted residency requirement

(User Submitted) – America recently selected, via pageant, of course, its most "Perfect Teen." The only problem? "America's Perfect Teen" is actually Welsh. Seems the pageant director didn't put in a residency requirement, so Anysha Panesar was able to enter the contest on a whim while on vacation in Florida. "Some people did say I shouldn’t have won because I’m British," she says, "but I think they just said it because they didn’t win." More details here and here.

The controversy was not over her being British, it was about her social networking site photos which the pageant has covered up so it will not leak to the media. http://beautyqueensgonewild.webnode.com/

she is gorgeous and has been on MTVs my super sweet sixteen. i have met her once at winter wonderland at cardiff and she seemed nice enough. at the end of the day the rules said nothing about where there permaneant residency had to be in the US or not. and once again the americans being the americans dont like the fact that the british have won. its all been totally blown out of proportion and people need to leave her alone. at least she tried it no-one else tried. so what shes not american who cares i certainly dont!
