(Newser) – Jurors had to sit through more horrific testimony today in the murder trial of one of two men accused of sexually assaulting and murdering a Connecticut woman and her two daughters in a home invasion, the Hartford Courant reports. Among other things, police described photos they found on the men's cell phones of the victims. Husband William Petit, who survived but was beaten, left the courtroom during the most graphic moments.

Also revealed are texts between the men the next before the attack.
