Hardliners really, really objected to 'vulgar' Born This Way act
(NEWSER) - Lady Gaga may have sold 50,000 tickets to a concert in Indonesia, but the show will not go on after threats of violence finally forced the pop star to pull the plug, reports the BBC . Police had previously refused Gaga a permit , saying that threats from Islamic groups who objected to her Born This Way Ball tour as vulgar made it impossible to guarantee security unless she agreed to tone down her act. After monitoring the situation "minute to minute," Gaga's team instead called the show off. "This is not only about Lady Gaga's security, but extends to those who will be watching her," said a statement from Team Gaga. More»
