A Rutgers freshman reportedly leaped to his death from the George Washington Bridge after his roommate allegedly secretly taped him having sex and posted the video on Twitter. Tyler Clementi, 18, left his wallet on the bridge and jumped last Wednesday, sources tell the New York Daily News. At least two people spotted his fall, but his body has not yet been recovered.

The suicide emerged today, following yesterday’s arrest of Clementi’s roommate, Dharun Ravi, and his friend Molly Wei on charges of invasion of privacy. “Roommate asked for the room till midnight,” Ravi wrote in a Sept. 19 tweet. “I went into Molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude. Yay.” Ravi also allegedly tried to post a second video a few days later. (More Rutgers stories.)
