Princess Diana lay in the wreckage of her car saying "Oh my God" over and over after the Paris accident in 1997, a witness said today.  A French volunteer firefighter told the panel investigating the crash that he happened upon the accident shortly after it occurred and attempted to provide help as photographers snapped away, the UK Times reports.

Damian Dalby said paparazzi surrounded the Mercedes when he got there, but he said the photographers did not interfere with his assistance. He said one photographer shouted, "She's alive!," after taking a photo and tried to push others away. Another witness told of his conspiracy theory that paparazzi lured Diana's car to the fateful tunnel in order to slow it down and get photos. (More Diana inquest stories.)
