Democrats Pick Up Steam in Senate Races

Reid and Angle a tossup, Manchin and Murray now favored

(Newser) – After a several straight losing weeks, the Democrats gained ground in the battle for the Senate this week, according to New York Times polling guru Nate Silver. Based on 100,000 simulations, Silver’s FiveThirtyEight prediction model now gives the GOP just an 18% chance to take the Senate, down from 24% last week. Democrats are projected to emerge with 52 Senators.

Among the recent swings: Nevada now looks like a toss-up, after leaning Sharron Angle’s way last week, while West Virginia and Washington have both shifted in favor of Democrats—the latter dramatically so. Christine O’Donnell’s already slim Delaware odds “are now close to nil.” That said, “it would be dubious to assert that Democrats have some ‘momentum’ at the national level,” Silver warns. In House races, polls still predict “large (potentially very large) Democratic losses.”

Dirty Harry is guilty of ignoring the American people--wanted and pursued what he thought was right, but didn't give a care about what the 308 million people were concerned about. Harry must think he is God, because Dirty Harry says Obama can't make without him. Dirty Harry to Obama--I have been around a long time--I know the ropes--and I know how to get things done! Really????

To have this man return to DC--WILL BE A HORRIBLE MISTAKE! The Congress and its members have lost the integrity of his position--and Pelosi who was the bitch behind the scenes---CONGRESS DOESN'T HAVE A HOPE IN OBTAINING THE TRUST THAT THESE INDIVIDUALS HAVE CAUSED AMERICANS TO LOOSE IN THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS!

Pay attention to what the Republicans will do: Abolish the minimum wage; abolish Social Security; deregulate everything---(next time you fly, think about the government making sure your flying with safe equipment,,,also,the next time you drive your car too) without regulations, corporations will take shortcuts to keep their profits up; Abolish the 14th Amendment, so, they can just come and arrest anyone and let you rot without a speedy trial(works well in China); give more tax breaks to the rich in the guise that even tho those tax breaks are in effect for 10 years, unemployment continued to rise when they said those tax breaks will create jobs; Abolish the public school system; Abolish Unemployment Compensation---when you lose your job, go shovel french fries at McDonalds for less than the current $7.50 minimum wage. This has been said by your right wing candidates and Tea Party people. Go ahead, take a step backward and vote for these idiots whom you think will take care of you and your interests.
