Marijuana Soda On the Market

Dixie Elixirs offers organic, 'reliably potent' soft drinks

(Newser) – In an effort to beat the "reefer madness" stigma of smoking weed, a Colorado company is making pot-infused soda for medical marijuana patients, writes David Teeghman at Discovery. Dixie Elixirs organic sodas look just about like anything else on the shelf, but deliver an added kick from "a carefully cultivated blend of the finest Sativa-dominant buds," the company says. They're available to anyone with a prescription.

Leomommy, So what if children ask what it is? How hard is it to say "That's medicine for sick people, Sweety." Not Very. I -too- am curious how your ex 'would die without pot' In fact, I think you should hide all his pot, on purpose, and when he starts to go into death-throws, call the whaaaambulance.

leomommy, it isn't THAT easy to get a script so I doubt they will just be able to run to their drs and end up buying up all of this juice and people don't "nearly die" from not having marijuana.. LOL How is it any different than someone drinking a beer?

I'd be afraid that recreational users like my ex BIL who literally would die without pot because he's been using so long would go to their doctors just to get a prescription and the people that really do need it for medical purposes wouldn't get it because it would be all sold out by because of the everyday potheads. That's right, I don't condone smoking pot just for the hell of it and I wouldn't drink a bottle of it. It clearly shows pot leaves plus young kids are going to wonder what the hell it is unless they've seen their pothead parents smoke it.
