This might top the infamous McDonald's hot coffee lawsuit. A court in Brazil has found the fast-food chain liable for the obesity of a franchise manager and ordered it to pay $17,500 in damages, the AP reports. The 32-year-old man claims he gained 65 pounds over a dozen years because he had to eat several "samples" every day to ensure quality. He accused McDonald's of sending around "mystery clients" to report on quality. He also carped about the free lunches. McDonald's has appealed.
