An angry Los Angeles man deliberately drove his car through the wall of his teenage girlfriend's bedroom as she slept on Sunday, killing her and the couple's 10-day-old baby girl, police said. Eduardo Villarreal, 21, was arrested at the scene and held on suspicion of murder. The couple had been arguing about custody of the baby. He left the home to "get his mind right," according to witnesses, then later reappeared behind the wheel of his Cadillac Escalade and "intentionally drove the vehicle into the house," said a deputy.

One other person was injured in the home. "He was saying he was going to kill the daughter and the mom," said the uncle of the dead 19-year-old, Trudy Bonilla. "They had argued before, but nothing like that." Villarreal later told cops he had intended to commit suicide, but not to hurt anyone else. "He has accepted responsibility for his actions," a detective told AP. (More murder stories.)
