Sure, Angelina Jolie collects kids like baseball cards, but what about celebrities on the other side of the fence? In honor of National Adoption Month, Cafemom lists 11 who gave their kids up for adoption:

  • David Crosby: Cros and a girlfriend gave up their baby boy in the early '60s; James Raymond is now a musician in his own right and has shared the stage with dad.

  • Rod Stewart: As a broke kid of "17 or 18," Stewart gave up daughter Sarah Streeter, with whom he reconnected after her parents' death.
  • Roseanne Barr: The pregnant 17-year-old high school dropout was just out of a mental institution when gave birth to Brandi Brown, who's since worked with Barr.
  • Joni Mitchell: When she sang about a "child born with the moon in cancer," it was daughter Kilauren Gibb, who met her birth mother in 2001.
