Colts, Pats Stay Perfect as Matchup Looms

Posted Oct 28, 07 10:47 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – New England and Indianapolis guaranteed a rare Week 9 clash of unbeatens, as the two best teams in the NFL routed their opponents. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning threw two scores; his second gave him 288 for his Colts career, breaking Johnny Unitas's record. Patriots signal-caller Tom Brady tossed three and ran for an uncharacteristic two more.

Bridget Moynahan's baby-daddy, in his first year with gamebreakers Randy Moss and Wes Welker, is on pace for 60 touchdowns this season, which would torch Manning's single-season record. New England's 52-7 win over Washington has them averaging over 40 points per game; Indianapolis (31-7 against Carolina) is allowing less than 15.
