Just pee or spit on a USB-like chip and plug it into your phone or computer: In a few minutes, you'll get a diagnosis on whether you have chlamydia, gonorrhea, or a range of other STDs, according to the Guardian. British health officials are working with seven organizations that have contributed nearly $6.5 million to the endeavor. It's aimed at younger citizens who are apparently too embarrassed to consult their doctors even amid a record 482,696 cases of STDs in 2009.

The developers of the kits hope they will be available for about $1.60 or less in vending machines suitably located in nightclubs, pharmacies, and supermarkets. Read the full article. (More sexually transmitted diseases stories.)
