(Newser) – Accounting behemoth PricewaterhouseCoopers is roiling in controversy after a group of executives distributed a photo-heavy email ranking the top babelicious workers in the Dublin office. "We are taking this matter extremely seriously and are launching a full investigation," said a company spokesman of the email, distributed among 17 male workers. "We will take all necessary steps and actions in line with our firm's polices and procedures." The email includes headshots and information about 13 women, seeking suggestions for the "top ten" most attractive, reports Gawker.

The women, graduates of top universities, recently joined the firm and are undergoing training for executive positions. The email has since been circulated to countless firms throughout Ireland, reports the Irish Independent. PricewaterhouseCoopers is the second-largest accounting firm in the world, and employs some 2,000 workers in Ireland and 160,000 across the globe. The company's website lists "behaving professionally" and "respecting others" among expected conduct. (For the tale of another email debacle, click here.)

This email was circulated among 17 men in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Dublin branch.

Why have the guys in Ireland been busted for this when it is typical behaviour all the way to the top of the organisation in PwC. I had a drink with a couple of the secretaries on the exec floor of Embankment Place - PwC HQ - and they told me the latest goss on the Managing Partner - Richard Collier-Keywood. Apparently he is having an affair with two female colleagues and one of them is the Executive Assistant to the Senior Partner. The stupid woman has even recently walked out on her husband and two young children as a result of the relationship. If this is an example of what is happening at the top, what do you expect from young execs?

This is disgusting. This is what contributes to the feelings of helplessness and frustration that women feel everyday trying to make it in a world controlled by men. These women have had to work twice as hard as men to get to the same level of employment. I hope the assholes who sent the e-mail get fired.
