NBC's Zucker Snaps at Apple

(Newser) – NBC chief Jeff Zucker has launched an extraordinary attack on Apple, accusing the digital download service iTunes of destroying revenue in the music industry, reports Apple Insider.com.  "Apple has destroyed the music business—in terms of pricing—and if we don’t take control, they’ll do the same thing on the video side," Zucker said at Syracuse's Newhouse School yesterday.

Discussing the network's feud with Apple over prices for video downloads, he revealed that NBC had demanded a share of hardware sales. "Apple sold millions of dollars worth of hardware off the back of our content. They did not want to share what they were making," he said.
