Palin Rips Michelle Obama Over 'Rants Against Whites'

But she loves Simon Cowell

(Newser) – The presidential election is two years away, but Sarah Palin is already taking off the white gloves. She slams First Lady Michelle Obama in her new book for attending controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church for years and "listening to his rants against America and white people." Barack and Michelle Obama disassociated themselves from Wright after the media revealed statements by the clergyman that many considered racist.

A role model Palin does admire is American Idol judge Simon Cowell. (But American Idol contestants? Not so much.) "Cowell can be a little harsh at times, but he upholds the highest standards, and something in us recognizes and responds to that," she writes in one of the flood of leaks from her new book, America by Heart. For more on Palin's attacks on Wright and the Obamas, check out the Huffington Post here.

Once again, Palin has shown herself to be shallow, ignorant, irrational, delusional, petty, and vindictive -- in short, everything that the tea party seeks in a political candidate.

Michelle Obama is a class act. She has it over Palin, in all areas. On the other hand, years from now when the impact of the Palin age is written , history will not be kind. She will have left a lasting impression of what she really is, a self centered divisive publicity hog. It's the lime light she craves. What it's takes to tackle or come close to solving the problems facing this country, Palin is way out of her element. She'd have to do more than grin at the camera and utter a bunch of nonesense that appeals to her fan base. Turn tail and run is more her style. The only thing that can be counted on from Palin is that she will critcize those who have solutions while she doesn't have a clue, find a camera to stick her face in and leave the rest of us wondering what the hell was McCain thinking?
