(Newser) – Often around this time of year, the powers-that-be in the college football world have a mess on their hands in picking the two teams to play for the national title. This year it's easy, thanks to Boise State's surprising loss last night. If No. 1 Oregon and No. 2 Auburn win as expected next week, they'll play for the BCS championship, reports AP. If one loses, look for No. 3 TCU to step up. If both lose ... well then it gets messy again.

the year the Texas/USC played for the NC they were 1-2 in the BCS all year and the two best teams in football. Boise wasn't going to catch the 1-2 teams, TCU woud be the one that would be the NC game buster if anything.
