(Newser) – Julian Assange has surrendered to London authorities, who have arrested him on a Swedish warrant for suspicion of sex crimes. His lawyer arranged to deliver the controversial WikiLeaks founder to police for questioning. The 39-year-old Australian is wanted on suspicion of "sex by surprise," sexual molestation, and unlawful coercion in Sweden. The case could lead to his extradition. He's due to appear in Westminster Magistrate's Court later today. Assange is being held at an undisclosed location, and he was been hiding out somewhere in Britain at least since last week, reports the AP.

Take a look at the Op-Ed piece Julian Assange just wrote for one of Australia's most respected newspapers. I grew up in the same state as JA, in the same time as the events he speaks of and I can attest for every word of it. It was a state dictatorship. This may explain to some of you why he does this. Be illuminated http://blogs.theaustralian.news.com.au/mediadiary/index.php And you can call me............Mr Joshua

The women involved in this both had consensual sex with him. One threw him a party the next night and tweeted friendly messages to him. It wasn't until she found out he was on with another lass that the first one became angry with him. The second lass sought him out, like a groupie would a rock star and had consensual sex with him and then again the next morning at her place where they had spent the night. They went out for breakfast together and all was well until she ran into the first woman at the party for Assange that the first women threw for him. Soon after Assange hints he has info on the banks. He had already released the military information and was threatening to release the diplomatic information. No worries. Once it became clear he had the banking information those 'rape' charges (what worse charge could you put on a man?) became credible. MasterCard, PayPal and everyone who can be hurt are trying to hurt him and his group. What a horrible state of affairs for America to see how far our government has strayed from freedom of the press. What I do not understand is how every American with a brain is not ready to revolt against anyone in our government who would wish to impede Mr. Assange. President Obama, where is your outrage at the American Press and politicians for wanting to pursue Mr. Assange? Nancy Pelosi? Harry Reid? Mr. Boehner? Mr. McCain? If you ever wanted a litmus test of which media outlets and which politicians are corrupt this story should identify them for you.
