(Newser) – Before he was the polarizing head of an organization bent on releasing classified documents, Julian Assange was just a single 36-year-old man calling himself “Harry Harrison” and looking for a “siren for love affair, children and occasional criminal conspiracy.” That is, if this OKCupid dating profile is for real. The profile was last active in December 2006, notes Adrian Chen on Gawker: “the same month Assange launched WikiLeaks with a handful of volunteers. It seems unlikely that someone would have faked the relatively-unknown Assange's profile before WikiLeaks had even gotten off the ground.” Highlights:

  • “Want a regular, down to earth guy? Keep moving. I am not the droid you're looking for.”
  • “I like women from countries that have sustained political turmoil. Western culture seems to forge women that are valueless and inane.”
  • What I’m doing with my life: “Directing a consuming, dangerous human rights project which is, as you might expect, male dominated.”
  • “Often carrying mystery brown paper packages tied up with strings.”
  • “I could adapt to anything except the loss of female company and carbon.”
  • “I have asian teengirl stalkers. Hello.”
