Nixon Tapes: Kissinger Is a 'Vile Creature'

When will people stop paying to listen to him speak?

(Newser) – Ever since Watergate, Henry Kissinger has deserved to be “shamed, ostracized, and excluded”—yet, for some reason, people still pay him to speak and have “dinners in his honor,” complains Christopher Hitchens on Slate. Well, the new Nixon tapes should finally change that: quotes reveal that Kissinger would “be indifferent to a replay of Auschwitz.” Yet American Jewish leaders have been silent. "Where is the outrage?” wonders Hitchens.

The comment is “like advance permission for another Holocaust.” Kissinger is “that rare and foul beast, a man whose record shows sympathy for communism and fascism.” Will people finally shun the elder statesman? Or will he “keep his op-ed perch” and dodge scrutiny? This time, “let this character at last be treated like the reeking piece of ordure that he is,” Hitchens writes. More on the Nixon tapes is here.

The emigration of Jews from the Soviet Union is not an objective of American foreign policy. And if they put Jews into gas chambers in the Soviet Union, it is not an American concern. Maybe a humanitarian concern. - Henry Kissinger

The Nixon adim was just a typical Republican Admin. Disgusting and criminal on every level. http://www.historycommons.org/entity.jsp?entity=brookings_institute_1 from the article - "You’re to break into the place, rifle the files, and bring them out.” Haldeman is untroubled by the order: “I don’t have any problem with breaking in.” Nixon is direct in his orders for the burglary: “Just go in and take them. Go in around 8 or 9 o’clock. That’s right. You go in and inspect and clean it out.… We’re up against an enemy, a conspiracy. They’re using any means. We are going to use any means. Is that clear?” The next day, Nixon repeats: “Get it done. I want it done. I want the Brookings Institute’s safe cleaned out.”

is anyone surprised by any of this? some of the most vile, repulsive people on the planet are regarded in high esteem by the power elite. and it's not like the holocaust was the first of it's kind. Western European societies have been doing it for centuries. think about what we did to the native americans. in fact, the nazi's based their tactics on what they learned from that very event.
